Arch of Wellington

The Arch of Wellington, also known as Arch of the Constitution or (originally) Green Park's Arch, is an arch of the victory placed to the south of Hyde Park in the center of London. The arch, together with the Marble Arch, was projected in 1825 by Jorge IV to commemorate the British victories in the Napoleonic Wars. The Arch of Wellington was conceived in turn as Constitution Hill's exterior puerta and therefore a great entry to the center of London from the west.
